The Garden Diaries (mid May)

The soil is tilled and the first plants are firmly in the ground. Tomatoes, peppers and squash from the garden shop; snap peas and sunflowers from seed; and the little eggplants waiting to be buried in the warm ground. Now we weed, and wait, and pray the bunnies don't eat too much.

The first plantings

A clever rubber snake to scare off the bunnies

Young squashes (squishes?)

Baby Beefsteak

Pepper in waiting

Still life with bird bath and snake
